DeWalt DWE7491RS Review
The DeWalt 7491RS table saw is a beast in every sense of the word. It is a heavy duty model and it is sold at an affordable price. The model is a full size table saw with a 10 inch blade.
If you’ve arrived here, it indicates you prefer the do-it-yourself method, which I completely understand. If you have access to the internet these days, it’s not difficult to figure out how to do any type of task.
Take, for example, YouTube. This website includes everything you need to know about how to make, cut, or shape anything. What you will notice is that getting your hands on a table saw, which is an amazing power tool for producing wood trim, siding, and much more, makes completing a woodworking project a lot easier.
You can either fight it out with a handsaw and a T-square, breaking your back in the process, or hire a contractor, which will cost most people money they don’t have. Sure, purchasing a table saw will require some initial financial planning, but consider how quickly you’ll be able to complete those DIY projects and how much money you’ll save by not having to rely on (or pay for) someone else to do it for you.
The DEWALT DWE7491RS 10-Inch table saw is one that I believe merits a spot on my website.
It is a high quality tool for a very reasonable price. It’s a cabinet saw which means that it comes with a large table. It is very easy to adjust the height of the blade, and it comes with an extension table so you can work on large or multiple items at once.
The model has a powerful motor that results in a fast and accurate cut. This model is well suited for both the pros and the DIY enthusiasts. It is very easy to use, and it can handle both the small and the large projects.
The most impressive feature of this saw is its super fast cutting speed. It can cut up to 54 inches in a single pass and up to 3.5 inches of depth. This is a powerful tool that can help you to get the job done with ease.
DeWalt DWE7491RS Features
The table is 26 by 22 inches in size, which should be sufficient for most uses. The saw can cut 3-1/8-inch deep cuts at 90 degrees and 2-1/4-inch deep cuts at 45 degrees. A table saw needs a powerful engine at its core to be able to cut through wood with such force, and this one delivers thanks to its 15-amp motor.
The practical ripping fence with a flip-over mechanism that allows it to hold two distinct settings is one of my favorites. When you need to cut incredibly little bits of wood, this comes in helpful.
Table saws aren’t designed to be transported around, but if you need to clear some space in your workshop after you’ve finished using it, you’ll be able to do so fast with this one. It only weights 110 pounds and comes with a rolling stand.
For the reasons indicated above, having a powerful motor is advantageous, but what about all the dust you generate? This table saw, like most advanced table saws, has a 2-1/2-inch dust port on the back end and a 1-1/2-inch dust port off the top of the blade.
Because of this dual capability, you can gather dust from both above and below the blade, ensuring that your work area is always clean. Because the suction system does not come with the table saw, you will have to put it up yourself.
This table saw’s rack and pinion fence is one of the best I’ve seen so far. With one hand, you may unlock and lock the fence, as well as modify it to the job’s needs.
Despite its ease of use, the wood will remain firmly in place regardless of how hard you press.
Another amazing feature of this table saw is its rip capacity, which is a huge 32-1/2 inches! Large rip pieces can be difficult to handle since they are lengthy and heavy, posing a risk of breaking or tipping the saw over.
This one, on the other hand, features a rail extension that helps you to tackle even the most difficult cuts. When working with large sheets of wood, however, remember to ask for assistance to ensure your safety.
Safety precautions are required for all power equipment, but they are especially important for table saws. DEWALT has replaced the power switch on this model with a brand new one that includes a Power Loss Reset.
This implies that if there is a power loss, a disconnected power cable, a tripped circuit, or any other interruption, the table saw will reset itself and will not turn back on once power is restored. It would be a horror movie scenario waiting to happen if it occurred.
However, because the switch is electronic, the potential of something like that happening is ruled out. Before you may use the saw again, you must press the green “ON” button. A flip-over cover protects the switch in case you accidentally press it. If you have little children, you can also secure the switch by securing it with a padlock.
If you read previous reviews on this table saw, you’ll notice that it’s one of the best on the market right now. DEWALT is known for carefully engineering and manufacturing high-quality power tools, and this one is no exception.
There are several excellent safety features, particularly in the event of a power outage, and it is not overly pricey. In the end, this is one of the first table saws I would recommend to someone who is looking for one. If you are, I recommend that you look it up on Amazon. You will not be dissatisfied!
